Feta and Goat Cheese Burgers

Feta and Goat Cheese Hamburgers

Feta and Goat Cheese Burger

This is not a boring burger!

I love the flavor of different types of cheeses and I wanted to incorporate something different on a burger than the traditional sliced or grated cheddar cheese.  I had a Goat Cheese and Basil Pizza at an Italian restaurant recently and fell in love with Goat Cheese.  So....inspiration struck again.

Here we go and if you like it, speak well of me!

Feta and Goat Cheese Burger  Ingredients and Instructions:

Ingredients:

2 lb 80/20 Ground chuck
1/4 cup feta cheese
1/4 cup basil flavored Goat Cheese (or regular - which ever you prefer)
2 Tbl Spn Worcestershire Sauce
1 Tbl Sn Liquid Smoke
1 Tbl Spn Sea Salt
1 tsp of each of the following:
Dried Basil
Paprika
Black Pepper
Cilantro

Mix well and flatten into large patties.  Remember to make the big because 80/20 is going to shrink.

Fire up the charcoal grill with the coals on one side to cook indirectly.

Grill on direct heat for a minute or so on each side and be careful of flareups.  Move off to the side of the coals and cook them indirectly for about 15 minutes, turning a few times.  Or cook them longer if you prefer more well done.

To really make the eye's roll back in your head, try basting with my mop glaze below, quick and easy:
Optional:
1 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
1/4 Cup Worcestershire Sauce
2 Tbl Spn Liquid Smoke
1/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1/4 Cup Ketchup
1 Tbl Spn Sea Salt
1 Tbl Red Pepper

Mix well and mop on the burgers as much as desired.  This is STUPID good.
Dressing suggestion:  Smokey Cilantro Mayonnaise.
1/4 Cup Mayo
1 Tsp Cilantro
1 Tsp Paprika
1/2 Tsp Red Pepper
Mix well and spread!

This is over the top...ENJOY!
